Dr. Les Stein and Dr. Sriram Rajagopalan is proud to bring the next webinar on the Healthcare Leadership as part of the CPS’ Graduate Leadership Program’s “Leadership Matters” series. This “Expert Panel” interview practitioners from the Healthcare sector on the importance of leadership at all levels. The Expert Panel includes Bill Lucia, Suga Subramaniam, and Sameer Bapat in the health care field address the many challenges facing medical experts in a post-COVID world.
Bill Lucia
Bill Lucia was the CEO of HMS, a leader in healthcare analytics, from2009 to 2021. During that time, he transformed an organization of over3200 employees into a high-performance culture, serving 500healthcare payers, 50 government agencies in over 40 states, supporting 31 out of 38 private health insurers in Australia, and growing the company’s value to $673 million.
Suga Subramaniam
Dr. Subramaniam is an expert veterinarian and immuno-oncologist applying her combined skills to lead scientific projects on all areas of drug discovery. She applies her knowledge on animals in the pre-clinical studies and designs innovative experiments to develop drugs for cancer treatment. Having contributed to many currently commercial drugs, she focuses on developing people for solving tomorrow’s health problems.
Sameer Bapat
Sameer is a results-oriented “Delivery Leader” with 20+ years ofexperience in Healthcare IT sector. Sameer led an entire 180+ memberbusiness unit in India as an expatriate managing product development,portfolio management, and services delivery. With an entrepreneurialattitude, Sameer applies his experience developing teams on delivery,program leadership, vendor & stakeholder management.

Dr. Les Stein and Dr. Sriram Rajagopalan successfully launched the Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies’ Graduate Leadership Program’s first “Leadership Matters” series. The initial “Expert Panel” interview with practitioners from the Information Technology sector discussed the importance of leadership at all levels.

Adam Sandman
Adam Sandman has been a programmer since the age of 10. He is the Founder and CEO of Inflectra, a leader of software test management, application lifecycle management, project, program, and portfolio management, risk management, and automation platforms. He is responsible for product strategy, technology innovation, and business development.
Dudley Backhouse
Dudley Backhouse is a founding partner of SAE.SO. He has several years of experience serving as both the CIO and CTO in organizations in many countries. He has defined innovative opportunities, redefined processes, and transformed organizations towards growth and sustainability.
James Lux
Jim has led IT organizations in multi-unit retail businesses for over 20 years. Currently, Jim serves as VP of IT for Ascend Wellness Holdings, a fast-growing multistate cannabis operator. Jim teaches the graduate Leadership program at Northeastern with his practitioner outlook.
